What we collect
- Calculator inputs: renovation type, location, size, quality and scope. Stored anonymously and aggregated for cost benchmarks.
- Email address: only if you choose to receive a detailed renovation report. Always optional.
- Analytics (Consent Mode): we load Google Analytics 4 using Google's Consent Mode so analytics measurement and analytics cookies stay off until you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you decline, that stays off — the tag may still be present so your choice can be enforced, but no behavioural analytics run for you.
How we use it
- To improve the accuracy of cost estimates.
- To send you the renovation report you requested (if any).
- To understand which features and project types are popular.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not share your data with third parties.
- We do not send marketing email unless you explicitly opt in.
- We do not track you across other websites.
Your rights under GDPR
If we hold any data about you, you have the right to:
- Access a copy of it.
- Have it corrected.
- Have it deleted.
- Withdraw any consent you previously gave.

Data retention
Anonymous calculator inputs are kept indefinitely for benchmarking. Email addresses, if provided, are kept until you ask us to delete them or until two years of inactivity, whichever comes first.
Security
Data is stored on servers based in the EU. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. We do not store payment details — untangle.ie is free to use.
