What would this cost to renovate?

Paste an Irish property-listing URL (myhome.ie, sherryfitz.ie or an independent estate-agent site — daft.ie is currently blocked), or upload a photo of a single room, and we’ll give you a rough renovation cost band in EUR (inc-VAT) in under a minute. Same Irish 2026 SCSI / RIAI calibration as the full calculator, just without the form-filling. The big portals run bot protection that occasionally refuses our request — if that happens, switch to photo mode or try a smaller agent’s listing page.

myhome.ie, sherryfitz.ie and most independent estate-agent sites work. daft.ie sits behind Cloudflare bot protection and blocks automated fetches, so Daft listings won’t come through — paste a MyHome / agent URL instead, switch to Photo mode and upload a room image, or fall back to the manual calculator.

This is a first look, not a survey

Snapshot reads one photo, or one listing’s lead image and copy. It can’t see structural defects, damp, rewire age, BER cert grade, or what’s behind the walls. Use it to decide whether a property is worth a proper viewing — not whether to put in an offer.

Grounded in Irish calibrated data

The AI gets an Irish 2026 cost crib derived from the SCSI House Rebuilding Guide (November 2025), RIAI 2025 cost benchmarks and current Irish trade day-rates — the same anchors the cost calculator uses. Regional uplifts (Dublin / Cork / Galway / other) and spec-tier uplifts are explicit in the prompt. All figures inclusive of 13.5% VAT.

Privacy, retention, deletion

Submissions are processed on Anthropic’s servers (USA — transfer covered by Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) and stored by us for 24 months. Explicit consent required before submission; deletion on request. Full detail in the privacy policy.
